The EGA Training Institute Monument Retailers Course

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

MONDAY ITINERARY   Each morning, the EGA vans will pick up attendees at Samuel Elbert Hotel and Days Inn. Continental breakfast provided by EGA. Class will be 8-5. During evening hours, attendees are welcome to make arrangements to visit with local manufacturers. (Please note that closed toe shoes will be required for this day’s activities.)

• Class begins Monday morning in the classroom with introductions, safety briefing for tours and visits. We will pass out class notebooks and name tags. As an introduction we will watch the film “Creating Memories” covering the history and development of the Elberton Granite Industry. 
• Quarry Overlook Platform 
• Industry Tour or Demonstration
• Lunch will be provided at local restaurant
• Industry Tour or Demonstration
• Classroom instruction to follow 
• Industry Tour or Demonstration.
• Load vans for hotel.

TUESDAY ITINERARY   EGA van will pick up attendees at Samuel Elbert Hotel and Days Inn. Breakfast sponsored by EGA Member. Class will be 8-5. During evening hours, attendees are welcome to make arrangements to visit with local manufacturers.

WEDNESDAY ITINERARY   EGA van will pick up attendees at Samuel Elbert Hotel and Days Inn. Continental breakfast sponsored by EGA. Class will be 8-5. During evening hours, attendees are welcome to make arrangements to visit with local manufacturers.

• Wednesday morning will consist of classroom instruction. 
• Lunch will be provided at local restaurant.
• Wednesday afternoon will consist of classroom instruction.
• Load vans for hotel.

THURSDAY ITINERARY   EGA van will pick up attendees at Samuel Elbert Hotel and Days Inn. Breakfast sponsored by EGA Member.

Evening meal provided during Thursday’s Happy Hour and Banquet. Van will be available for pick up and drop off for anyone to the banquet. 

This schedule is subject to change and for conceptual purposes only to allow attendees to know what to expect to see during the week.

Group is expected to stay together all day with no breaking off for personal activities. The entirety of the class must be attended to receive certificate.
